Review: Topshop Makeup Smoke and Mirrors AW11 Collection.

I love Topshop makeup, I didn’t think I would but I have a fair amount of the range now and it’s hard to fault it. The packaging is lovely, and I do think the quality is great, especially considering the price.
I really love this little Eye and Lip set, consisting of a black eyeliner and a nude lip pencil. I didn’t really own a kohl eyeliner before this, so I can’t really say how it compares to others. Kohl eyeliner isn’t something I usually wear, but I find this is good for defining eyes for an evening look.
I haven’t got a lot of use from the nude lip pencil, although it is good for shading in the lips before using a light shade of lipstick.
The eye palette is so cute, the shades are just what you need to create a day or night look. I often use one of the lighter shades alone during the day, or as a highlighter at night with a mixture of the other shades on the lid. The mirror makes it easy to have in your bag for travelling or for touch ups during the evening.
Finally, the blush and bronzer duo is such a great idea. I never really use bronzer so I kind of swirl the blusher and bronzer together to create a nice warm shade.
I’d love to try a few other items from this collection, including the much talked about Pillow Talk lipstick (although I think this may have sold out now!). What have you tried from the Smoke and Mirrors collection?

I’m hoping I’m going to get a bit of Topshop makeup for Christmas. The packaging, the quality and the price is just spot on I think and they have the loveliest colours available. The eye palette is just the perfect colours for me, wonder if its too late to drop a hint! I really use bronzed either so in like the idea of swirling it with the blush.

topshop makeup is my absolute fave! i don’t have anything from here (my local shop hasn’t got any makeup or nail polishes, boo!), but i ordered the pillow talk lipstick and love it.

The packaging is so pretty! I’ve not tried Topshop makeup but people seem really impressed with it and that blush/Bronze duo looks like a great place to start- could be brill for contouring.

i’ve never tried topshop make up before even though it all looks amazing! i think the packaging is gorgeous and after christmas i may just have to make a sneaky purchase of a few items from the collection! X

I love TopShop make up so much, the packaging always gets me straight away but it’s always great reading reviews the show the make up is actually pretty usable too.

I did a post on the smoke and mirrors collection too a while ago, Glow the lil highlighter pot is the prettiest colour ever! So worth getting! That actually reminds me I need to stock up before the collection goes! Great post xx

The bronzer/blusher duo looks lovely! I have two lipsticks from topshop and they are great pigment and quality. great to be able to pick up some make up whilst clothes shopping

I am a BIG fan of the smoke and mirrors collection.
The shades are bang on trend and quality is fab.
I have the Pillow Talk lipstick and also Rumour Has It. Both are gorge.

I have the lipstick in Rumour Has It but might try the kohl pencil and lip pencil set. I agree, the packaging is so cute and quality isn’t bad for the price.
