This Week’s Most Loved… #2.

posted on: 30 September, 2012

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau De Parfum; NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Oil; Caudalie Beauty Elixir; Oribe Dry Texturising Spray; Liz Earle Eye Shadow & Brush; Lierac Diopti Cerne eye cream; Revlon Smoked Peach lipstick; Topshop Sunbeam

I’ve dug out a few favourites this week (honestly, how do I even let them get to the bottom of my stash?) I’m mainly talking about Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir – this helps my blemish-prone skin so much! Any imperfections are quickly sorted with a few spritzes of this, I often use my fingers to rub it in and I love how much it cools and calms my skin.

Another old favourite is my trusty Lierac eye cream, I can’t find this online at the moment (luckily I have a good amount left) as apparently they are repackaging their products. This is a really great eye cream for those with dark circles, it’s not too rich and has really made a massive difference to my peepers.

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse is another product I’ve been using constantly this week, I have really dry, rough patches on my shoulders and this really helps to sort them out. It’s light and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy afterwards and absorbs in in no time. I use it after a bath or shower and always have the softest skin afterwards.

I usually keep Oribe Dry Texturising Spray in my handbag as it’s compact and great for giving hair some volume and texture on the go. This is one of my favourite products to use on dry hair, it works like a dry shampoo but it doesn’t leave any residue. Great for those with fine hair, like me!

Another great handbag sized product is Guerlain Le Petite Robe Noire pefume, this is a delicious girly scent, quite strong but really floral and sweet. I usually go for floral, sweet scents and I quite like this one. It can be overpowering though so only one spray is needed!

On to makeup, my go to eye combo this week has been my new Liz Earle Rose Quartz eye shadow and the incredible eye brush. I was lucky enough to receive this as a sample, I always love the colours I get, they’re never ones I would pick myself but they always open my eyes (heh) to colours I wouldn’t have otherwise tried. Rose Quartz is a soft pinky beige, almost a rose gold but very subtle. I love this for day time and usually smoke it up at night with a darker shade.

With this I’ve been wearing another old favourite, Revlons Smoked Peach lipstick. I’m not big on matte lipsticks but this one gets me every time! It’s the perfect peach with a tiny hint of pink and a lipstick I find myself wearing all the time.

Lastly, yet another product I couldn’t live without – Topshops Sunbeam highlighter. If you love glowy cheeks, you need this! It’s a really fine gold highlighter that brightens up cheeks and gives a really fresh look. I can’t recommend this enough.

What do you think of this weeks picks?

Where To Buy #1.

posted on: 29 September, 2012

Sometimes when I post things, on here or Instagram, I get asked where they’re from/how much they were (as I’m sure most people do!). Not everything is new so sometimes it’s irrelevant (unless you’re a keen eBayer!) but I usually tweet the link to the item.

I decided to do a post of all the recent things I’ve got and where to buy, as I have had a few questions lately and most things have been new! I’ve linked to all items below.

01. My mirror is from Tesco Direct and my bedding (in the top image) is from IKEA, I love them both and would definitely recommend! I was also asked about the white wicker basket which I store my daily cosmetics in – I bought mine from Homebase years ago but these ones are similar.
The jewellery hanger on the wall is similar to this one here

02. I’m wearing my favourite Zara shirt in this outfit, with my new Zara bag. The shoes are from Primark and the hat is from H&M (both not online).

03. This studded bralet is from eBay, it looks so much nicer on than it does in the picture on the website. I cut the straps off mine and I love it! The shoes are from Zara but I got them a while ago.

04. This jumper is from New Look and the rose garland around my mirror is from eBay

05. The boots shown in this image are from H&M, they were only £24.99 and I was searching for them forever before I found them!

06. My new jacket (I’ve mentioned this a few times and I adore it!) is from New Look! Who would have known eh.

07. Lastly, the skirt shown is from Topshop and the rose garland around my mirror is from eBay (same as above).

Please let me know if you found this post helpful. I had a comment recently which asked why I don’t always reply to my Instagram comments about where I bought things from, in all honesty I don’t always get alerted to comments for some reason and I find it hard to reply as it can be quite a long task as I’m instagram mad! I hope this helped and wasn’t at all show-offy.

Review: Benefit Sugarlicious Lip and Cheek Kit.

posted on: 26 September, 2012

After I posted about the Benefit ‘How To Look the Best at Everything’ Kit, I also have another beautiful kit from Benefit to show you – this time the Sugarlicious Cheek and Lip kit.
I only recently bought Sugarbomb blusher (review here) which I absolute adore so I’m really pleased to have a little travel size and the Sugarbomb gloss as well. I love the subtle but gorgeous shades of Sugarbomb, it’s a really “me” blusher.

Also in the kit is little sample sizes of Benetint and High Beam – another couple of my favourites. I think these kits Benefits have recently released are such a great idea, they’re ideal for trying a few products from the brand if you’re not sure what works for you, or just to get a few good-sized products for the price of one full sized product from Benefit.

I think the Sugarbomb blush and gloss look absolutely beautiful together, perfect for those, like me, who love a soft shimmery glow to their skin and lips. I can see myself getting a fair amount of use from this kit and I love how you can take the bits out of the box and keep it to store things in.

There are two other variations of the kit (both of which I need) – Feelin’ Dandy (which contains the Dandelion products) and Go Tropicoral, this has the Coralista products inside.
What do you think of the kits? Which one will you be picking up?
