How To: ‘Under The Weather’ Quick Fixes.

Everyone you meet at the moment is suffering from some kind of ailment or just those plain old January Blues – I am feeling incredibly run down and a little overworked so I’ve been relying on this combo to help me look healthy and perky.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir £32
Ah one of my favourite and most reliable products – I absolutely swear by this to calm my skin, give it a little glow and simmer those spots. Spritz a little over face in the morning, the mint will have you feeling fresh and alive in no time and it’s an absolute essential when you’re ill. I usually use this like a toner and then spend a minute massaging it in, this encourages circulation and makes skin look oh so lovely.
Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector in Rose Shimmer £25
When you’re feeling lazy, the last thing you want to do is apply anything that requires effort – chances are you won’t have the energy to make it look right. Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector is an absolutely God-send for those days, it’s not shimmery or glittery but really wakes up skin for an incredible boost, the rose shimmer shade is really warming to the skin tone. It takes no time to apply a bit of this for an awake glow to your skin. Don’t waste time on anything that will engineer your downfall.
L’Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer £8.49 *
This highlighting pen is pretty much a multi-use one-stop cover-it-all product that I swear by after nights out or when I ain’t feelin’ too great. It’s a budget version of the cult classic YSL Touché Eclat, perfect for covering those dark circles and any dark marks. I usually dot a little down my nose and on my cheekbones to help me look a little more alive.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers £20
Nothing, I repeat nothing, makes you look more awake than bright eyes so get curling those eyelashes because I always find this is the trick to making me look like I’ve had 10 hours sleep when really, we’re missing that zero. Give two squeezes on each eye with these cult lash curlers by Shu Uemura, you can skip the mascara if you want but this step is essential.
MAC Bare Study Paint Pot £14.50
This pearl eye shadow cream is perfect for adding a touch of highlight to eyes, I usually use this to dab a little glow on my brow bone and in my inner eye. I usually leave eyeshadow and add a touch of mascara for a more fresh-faced look but I know adding this light-reflecting cream will make my eyes look so much bigger and brighter.
Benefit Coralista Blush £23.50
Usually when I want to look perky, I reach for peachy blushes for a nice natural flush to my skin. I always love adding blusher to my pale skin because it makes such a difference and I look more alive. I love Benefits Coralista, a subtle shimmery coral shade that suits all! I’m yet to find someone who doesn’t love this healthy flush of colour. See my full review here.
I’m continuously a little under the weather due to my useless immune system and I always manage to cover it up with my favourite products. What do you use when you’re not feeling your best?
