Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection.

I was lucky enough to receive a few bits from the Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection this week and I thought I’d review the collection in true gh0stparties style – showing the products on. It’s been a while but I fell back in to it pretty easily as this collection is right up my street in terms of colours and the minimalistic Spring feel.
I’ll start by saying I’m wearing Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation (review here) as my base and I’ve popped on a little bit of Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara * on my lashes, I really recommend this if you’re after a good quality budget mascara. On my brows is the Kevyn Aucoin Precision Brow Pencil and I have the By Terry Touche Volupte concealer under my eyes. This is just for reference incase you were wondering, it’s pretty much my go to routine at the moment and I switch up eyeshadow, blush and lipstick.
On my cheeks is the Bobbi Brown Pastel Pink blush * which is a limited edition shade from the collection, as you can see it gives my cheeks a flawless pop of colour which I adore. As I have quite fair skin and blue eyes, I usually seek out shades like this as the contrast against my skin tone is so flattering. Pink shades like this work for most skin tones and they’re great as a “go to” shade in your makeup stash, for those days where you just need something natural yet perky to pull your look together. I never skip out on blush because it’s the one thing that makes me look alive and awake!
I slicked a little bit of Pink Lily gloss * which is the brighter, less blue of the two (the other shade is Pink Lilac). I’m not usually one for lipgloss, and I have to say this is quite sticky, but I love how this looks on my lips. I actually took it out with me last night to a party and ended up applying it a few times throughout the night as I liked the colour so much. My lips are usually quite dry but this makes them look full and pouty!
There are some really lovely pieces from this collection, I always adore the shades and palettes Bobbi Brown bring out as they’re always very wearable and flattering on most. They also think of all skin tones and their foundations and other shades cover very light porcelain skin tones to rich caramel shades, which is what I like to see! I’ve not yet tried the nail polish *, Roza, as my nails are in terrible condition for some reason and I’m nursing them back to health but I can tell I’m going to adore this, it’s a light grey with lilac undertones. If I hadn’t already treated myself to a new palette this week, the Lilac Rose palette would definitely be mine!
The collection should be on counters now. What do you think of the look I created with the collection?
