While I’m continuously testing and trialling truckloads of new beauty products, there are actually some I do repurchase when I need them. A few products that I don’t see myself living without any time soon, and I actually feel at a loss when they run out – resulting in a rush to renew their subscription.
The first of these has to be the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Express Treatment Conditioner, like every other product from this range, it smells like heaven and leaves my hair feeling and looking incredibly soft and shiny. It’s usually on special at Boots and costs a few pounds so I’m rarely without it. I usually use this after I use a detox shampoo like the Bumble Sunday Shampoo, I find the combo does wonders for my hair and you only need to leave this treatment in for a minute so it’s a hit with me!
Another ‘drugstore’ favourite has to be this body lotion, Garnier Intensive 7 Days Nourishing Lotion, I usually get the gel-cream variety but noticed this lotion on the shelves so I chose this instead. It’s pretty amazing at leaving skin so, so soft – and again, it’s around £3 so I don’t mind slathering myself in it!
I’m shouted about my love for the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer so many times, I never feel the need to use anything else and actually have this in three out of four of the shades. Although, yesterday I came home around lunchtime and noticed I had two big splodges on my face that I hadn’t blended in – oops! Nonetheless, it’s perfect for disguising any imperfections, I never feel the need to buy anything else.
I don’t often repurchase makeup, I find I like to give other products a try but another forever repurchased favourite has to be the Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara. This is hands down the best mascara I’ve ever tried, and I doubt I’ll ever really use anything else! I really recommend this above any other product – it’s perfect for lengthening, volumising, curling… the lot.
While we’re on the subject of eyes, I’ll touch briefly on my eyeliner of choice; Rimmel GlamEyes Liquid Liner. I only occasionally wear eyeliner but this is one I’ve been using since I can remember, although I think they may have changed the name over the years. The fine nib makes it really easy to apply and if I can do it, anyone can.
Another product I’m always, always banging on about has to be the Malin + Goetz Acne Treatment. This is the only product I’ve found that actually heals up spots really quickly, I’ve been using this since I was 19 and I always have a bottle or two kicking around! It means you have to go to bed with white patches on your face but I promise it’s worth it!
Finally, I had to include my trusty John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original Serum – this isn’t one I talk about a lot I don’t think but I have been using it for many, many years. Although my hair isn’t frizzy, I find this really softens and smoothes my dry ends, without weighing them down. I find oils and other serums can sometimes be far too much for my fine locks but this always does the job.
