Well. If you’ll excuse the rather dramatic title, I’m having a moment with this here concealer. I originally bought this on one of my many random Boots hauls a few months ago, and I was instantly impressed – but it wasn’t until this week when I realised how amazing it is.
The Maybelline Fit Me Anti-Shine Stick (£8.99) is a bit of a ‘do all’ job, the formula is so smooth and velvety that you can use it anywhere (well, y’know anywhere on the face). I started off using it under makeup to hide scarring, redness etc. and then layered over a lovely light tinted moisturiser over the top and the results were amazing. This is unlike any product I’ve ever tried, it’s seamless to apply and covers everything whilst still being incredibly light – when you apply it feels like you can’t even feel it rolling on the skin and then it’s pretty undetectable. Blending is a dream, and it camouflages even the worst blemishes with little effort.
It’s so creamy that it kind of just becomes the skin – whether you use it under makeup for some undetectable coverage, over makeup or alone.
As I said, I started using it under makeup but yesterday I used it as you would a concealer; applied it over my base and worked it in – cue a very happy me as it looked so flawless and invisible. It also has a very natural, almost matte finish that doesn’t slip off during the day – I find matte finished are best for blemishes as they really keep them hidden. I usually use creamy concealers (like 17 Stay Time Concealer) but I find this is a million times light and doesn’t a much better job of concealing and minimising imperfections.
The formula is so perfect that you can use it for any job (I know someone who bought the lightest and darkest shades and now uses them for contouring) and just a warm finger or a light fluffy brush is all you need to blend out. I have the shade Natural Beige 220 and it’s perfect, such a great match for my skin.
Has anyone else given this a try?
